Каррагер указывает на то, что "Манчестер Юнайтед" и "Челси" заметно прибавили после смены главного тренера, и Джейми всерьез опасается, что "Ливерпуль" не попадет в топ-5, а это с высокой вероятностью будет стоить Слоту работы.

"Если ты не квалифицировался в Лигу Чемпионов после того, как в предыдущем сезоне выиграл лигу и потратил так много, как потратил "Ливерпуль", я не думаю, что у тебя могут быть какие-либо оправдания".

"Я испытываю реальное беспокойство насчет попадания "Ливерпуля" в Лигу Чемпионов из-за трех бросающихся в глаза вещей: игры на стандартах, контратакующего футбола и игры против глубокой обороны".

"Но не попасть в Лигу Чемпионов после того, как вы стали чемпионами, потратили 450 миллионов фунтов и имеете самую большую зарплатную ведомость в Премьер-Лиге, что обычно является определяющим фактором для вашего итогового положения в лиге... Думаю, тогда придется ответить на серьезные вопросы", — сообщил Каррагер в эфире Sky Sports.
